About this race
Join us on Saturday, October 12th, 2024 for our annual fundraiser that includes both a 5-Mile Course (timed) and a 2-Mile Course (untimed). All funds raised directly benefit the Jensen Community Center in Amherst, Wisconsin. We welcome runners and walkers of all abilities to join us for a fun run that showcases the heart of Amherst, WI.
Registration entitles participants on race day to a commemorative t-shirt, a can of River Run beer to take with you home, and the option to purchase a bottle of the limited and highly sought-after Central Waters Black Gold. Pre-registration is required.
The River Run 5-Mile Course: This takes off and concludes at Central Waters Brewing Co. It is comprised of a winding course through the heart of our downtown as well as a limestone-chipped segment of the Tomorrow River Trail. You will run along the Tomorrow River before heading back toward the brewery. The course is NOT closed to traffic, so runners and walkers must be alert and aware of vehicles.
The River Run 2-Mile Course: This takes off and concludes at Central Waters Brewing Co. It is comprised of a small tour through our downtown, while crossing over the Tomorrow River. The course is NOT closed to traffic, so runners and walkers must be alert and aware of vehicles.
Kids Falcon Fun Run: This is held in conjunction with the annual River Run, to help fund the Jensen Community Center. The Falcon Fun Run is a 1/2 K race that starts and ends at Central Waters Brewing Co in Amherst. The race is open to kids ages 5-10 and a small fee to enter. All Falcon Fun Run participants will receive a SPECIAL PRIZE. Registration OPENS May 1st, so have mom or dad sign you up when they do! There are no registrations the day of the race.
