The 2024 Run 4 All 5K & 1 Mile, taking place on October 12, 2024, in Cortland, NY (13045), offers a family-friendly running experience with two distinct distances. While specific historical details about the event's inception are not provided, the "Run 4 All" name suggests a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility for runners of all ages and abilities. Participants can anticipate a well-organized community event, likely featuring a lively atmosphere, with both the 5K and 1-mile races catering to different fitness levels. Participants should expect a road race setting within Cortland, NY. The terrain is generally expected to be a mix of paved roads, which are common for 5K and 1-mile events in urban or suburban environments. While specific elevation profiles are not detailed, runners might encounter some gentle inclines or flat stretches, making it a potentially fast course for those looking to set personal bests. The October date suggests participants should prepare for typical early autumn weather conditions in upstate New York, which can range from crisp and cool to mild, with potential for wind or rain. The presence of both a 5K and a 1-mile race makes this event a strong contender for families looking to participate together or for individuals seeking a shorter, less demanding run.
