7th Annual ReDiscover YOUR Light 5K Run+Walk 7th Annual ReDiscover YOUR Light 5K Run+Walk

For the past six years over 800 people across 34 states and 3 counties have shown overwhelming support for the ReDiscover YOUR Light 5K Run+Walk.  At The Starr Institute (TSI), we educate, engage, and empower youth and the community about child sexual abuse and exploitation.  The ReDiscover YOUR Light 5K Run+Walk is a family-friendly event providing a safe space for young people, families, community members, business owners, professionals, and youth-serving organizations to mobilize and highlight this issue in their communities.  Since 2020 TSI has embraced the power of the pivot and incorporated a hybrid race model.  We’re happy to continue offering a virtual race week (November 3 – 9, 2024) and welcome runners/walkers to our in person event at Miramar Regional Park on November 9, 2024!  We couldn’t be more thrilled to put Prevention in Motion.  Our goal is to have participants register in all 50 states.  Will you lace up to help us create a world where youth receive the care, support, and skills they need to thrive?!

If you participate virtually, you can run/walk 3.1 miles ANY place that works for you.  Simply select a race route of your choice and run/walk your 5K anytime starting Sunday, November 3rd, through Saturday, November 9th.  

The in-person event will take place at Miramar Regional Park on November 9, 2024.  Registration opens at 6 AM, the race begins at 7 AM.    

If you are participating virtually, we ask that you download the FREE Nike Run Club app (or any other timing platform of your choosing) on your smartphone to complete your Run+Walk and upload a picture of you and your finish time using #TheStarrInstitute5KRun+Walk #TSIPreventionInMotion and tag @thestarrinstitute on Facebook and @thestarrinstitute_ on Instagram. 

The race shirt is included in your registration.  Grab 1, 2, or 10+ friends to join you in your Run+Walk.  See you at the finish line!!
