Rowley Volunteer Fire Protection Association Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run Kids 1 Mile Fun Run

Welcome to the: 1st Annual Rowley Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk & Kids 1 Mile Fun Run.

The Rowley Volunteer Fire Protection Association (RVFPA) is hosting this event to help raise funds for our Rowley Veterans Committee (RVC). Veterans account for 6% of the Rowley population. We have 277 Male Veterans and 20 Female Veterans for a total of 297 Veterans living here in the Town of Rowley. Veterans are facing multiple challenges throughout their careers. Their enhanced training and advanced technologies have given them the ability to provide extreme medical care in the field which has allowed many active military members to be brought home. Due to some extensive injuries and long term health effects they will need more services in the future to enable their quality of life. Together, the RVFPA and RVC, hope to raise enough funds to be able to assist our 297 Veterans here in the Town of Rowley. 

Festivities will begin around 07:00a.m. and conclude around 12:00p.m. The Kids 1 Mile Fun Run will start promptly at 08:30a.m. followed immediately by the 5K Run/Walk at 09:00a.m. Following the race, the Rowley Veterans Committee will be hosting their Veteran's Day Ceremony starting at 10:45 a.m. and salute at 11:11 a.m. at the monuments located in front of the Rowley Town Hall. We welcome all residents of Rowley and surrounding communities to join us for this amazing event to support our local Veterans.

The Kids 1 Mile Fun Run will remain on the Town Common. For the safety of the children, they will start the race on Summer St and run through the timing arch, then they will get to the end of the common, turn right and run two laps around the common (just under 1 mile long) and then finish that second lap by running back through the timing Arch.
