The Mansfield and Lexington Turkey Trot Virtual 10K, held on November 28, 2024, offers a flexible way to participate in a Thanksgiving tradition. As a virtual event, participants can complete their 10K run or walk from any location they choose, on or around the designated date. This format is ideal for those who prefer to run on their own terms or live far from Mansfield, Ohio. Participants can expect to receive digital race materials and potentially a commemorative item, allowing them to still be part of the community spirit of the Turkey Trot. While a specific race history isn't detailed for this virtual iteration, the "Turkey Trot" name signifies a common and beloved Thanksgiving Day running event. Participants should anticipate a personal challenge of completing a 10K distance. The terrain and conditions will be entirely dependent on the participant's chosen route; this could range from paved city streets and neighborhood sidewalks to local park trails. The notable feature of this event is its virtual accessibility, providing an inclusive opportunity to celebrate the holiday through fitness and a sense of accomplishment without the constraints of a traditional, in-person race.
