What to expect

Written from race data

The Texas Double 13.1-Day 1, scheduled for December 21, 2024, in Dallas, TX (75220), is the inaugural running of this unique event, marking its debut in the race calendar. As "Day 1" of a larger "Texas Double" challenge, participants can anticipate an exciting kickoff to a multi-event experience. While specific historical details are unavailable due to its inaugural nature, this event promises a well-organized half-marathon designed to challenge runners and celebrate the spirit of competition in the heart of Dallas. Participants should expect a well-supported half-marathon with standard race amenities. The typical terrain for a Dallas-based road race is predominantly flat to gently rolling, often featuring a mix of city streets and park trails. Given the December date, runners can anticipate cooler, potentially crisp weather, a welcome change from the Texas summer heat, though preparedness for variable conditions is always advisable. Notable features of this inaugural event will likely include a festive atmosphere, a chance to be part of its history, and the opportunity to earn a finisher's medal and bragging rights as a participant in the very first Texas Double 13.1-Day 1.
