Written from race data

The Resolution Relay: B.Y.O.B. Half Marathon is a unique two-person relay race taking place on January 5th, 2025, in Boring, Oregon. This event, designated as an "Event Type 6," likely signifies a specific organizational or logistical category rather than a traditional race distance. The "B.Y.O.B." (Bring Your Own Baton) moniker highlights a playful and distinctive aspect, requiring each relay team to provide their own baton for the handover. While specific historical details aren't provided, this event positions itself as a fresh start to the new year, encouraging participants to set and achieve fitness goals together. Participants can anticipate a half marathon split between two runners, fostering teamwork and shared accomplishment. The terrain in Boring, Oregon, is typically characterized by rural roads and potentially some park trails, suggesting a mix of paved and possibly unpaved surfaces. Runners should prepare for potentially cool and damp January weather, common for the Pacific Northwest. The relaxed "Bring Your Own Baton" rule adds a customizable and fun element, allowing teams to get creative with their handover strategy, making it more than just a race, but a shared challenge and a memorable start to their 2025 fitness resolutions.
