Kick off 2025 with the 5th Annual Mangum Marathon & Half Marathon.
This year we will have a Port-A-John!
There is a 7-hour time limit for the marathon and a five-hour time limit for the 1/2.
Both events will be timed, with finisher medals to all that finish and Custom Engraved Tumblers to the top 10 men and Top 10 women in both events. ***If Registrations are over 50 Awards will be changed to top 2 Male and Female in age categories!***
The course will start at the Dog Pen out in the boondocks, outside of Ellerbe, NC. You will run 2-miles, take a right, run 11.1 miles turnaround and run back to the finish. Boston has Heartbreak Hill, the Mangum Marathon has the famous climb to Bethel Church at around the 22-mile mark. For the 1/2, you will turn around at the 6.55 mark and reverse back to the dog pen.

The course will have MINIMAL support. Please make sure you are equipped with all needed supplies.
The course will provide water bottled water drop spots throughout the course and two manned water stops at the 6.5mile mark and Half turnaround but make sure to bring what you need! No port-a-johns will be available. All participants will receive a long sleeve men's or women's PREMIUM Technical shirt. Race shirts and medals are not guaranteed on race day for registrations after 1/6 but will be available after race (1 week processing time).
