The route will closely follow the original route, doing a loop around Tadcaster centre before heading out East, taking in the villages of Catterton, Healaugh and Wighill. There will be a drink station out on the course around the 5 mile mark with a mixture of paper cups and plastic bottles (although we are trying to phase out the use of single use plastic bottles) Race HQ will be at The Barn on St Josephs Street - no need to register on the day as everything will be posted out before the event. The race start is outside Race HQ on St Josephs Street. Custom Tad 10 medals and some tasty treats to all our finishers plus big cash prizes for male and female age groups and anyone breaking the course record. Last year we had over £1000 in prizes. Gold medals for those who can go SUB 1HR.
AI Overview

The Tadcaster 10, organised by Sport Yorkshire Ltd, is scheduled for Sunday, November 23rd, 2025, in the historic market town of Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, UK. This 'Type 1' event signifies a focused, single-discipline road running race over a challenging 10-mile distance. It's an ideal target for runners seeking a significant endurance test, positioned between a 10K and a half marathon, and participants can expect a professionally managed event with thorough organisation, accurate timing, and essential runner support provided by Sport Yorkshire Ltd. The race course is anticipated to explore the scenic surroundings of Tadcaster and the wider North Yorkshire countryside. Given the region's topography, runners should prepare for a route that features gently rolling hills rather than entirely flat stretches, potentially incorporating picturesque sections along the River Wharfe or winding through quiet country lanes and local villages. As a late November race, participants should be ready for typical British autumn conditions; expect cold temperatures, and potentially wet or windy weather, adding an invigorating, albeit challenging, element to the race day experience. Appropriate layered clothing and robust road running shoes are highly recommended. Overall, the Tadcaster 10 offers a rewarding late-season goal for runners looking to test their mettle over 10 miles amidst the beautiful Yorkshire landscape. It promises a well-organised and competitive event in a charming setting, providing a memorable challenge supported by a reputable organiser, making it a notable fixture for those seeking a unique November race in the north of England.
