About this race

The popular East Coast Classic/Mablethorpe 10k was promoted by Mablethorpe Running Club from 2006 until 2019. Unfortunately Covid hit in 2020 which probably conspired to end the popular race along with the demise of the organising club. Fast forward to 2025 when a team at Lincolnshire Athletics explored the possibility of resurrecting the event along with some past members of Mablethorpe Running Club. Lincolnshire Athletics is the county association charged by England Athletics with organizing county athletics. And to this end, the East Coast Classic will be the first dedicated county 10k road championships.
