New Forest 10

About this race

The New Forest 10, scheduled for October 25th, 2026, in Brockenhurst, Hampshire, is an established running event organized by Peter Reilly. While specific historical details are not provided, the "Event Type: 2" designation often indicates a road race, suggesting a well-trodden course within the picturesque New Forest National Park. Participants can anticipate a scenic and potentially challenging 10-mile (approximately 16km) route, likely taking advantage of the park's varied landscapes. Runners should prepare for the typical autumnal conditions of the New Forest in late October, which can include crisp air, potential for light rain, and varying ground surfaces. While primarily a road race, segments may incorporate well-maintained gravel paths or forest tracks, offering a blend of terrains. The New Forest's natural beauty, with its ancient woodlands, heathland, and potentially wandering ponies, is a significant draw, promising a memorable race experience beyond just the competition.
