The 13.1-mile route gathers all participants on the A167 (the central motorway) in Newcastle on the edge of the Town Moor. The route then heads east and south down the central motorway section, over the Tyne Bridge. Heading through Gateshead towards South Tyneside, the run then sees its Finish Line in South Shields.
